Background Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) are a significant cause maternal and perinatal morbidity mortality worldwide. This study aims to use the Global Burden Disease 2021 database analyze prevalence trends disease burden HDP across globe from 2019 2021. Methods We analyzed four key metrics related (prevalence, incidence, mortality, DALYs) using data GBD Database. Trends were assessed estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) changes in burden. Results In 2021, global cases, incidence DALYs 3.51 million, 18.00 37.58 2.44 respectively, with 14%, 15%, −29%, −29% over period. Prevalence rates increased (EAPCs: −0.7 −0.67), while decreased −2.29 −2.28). Low Socio-demographic Index (SDI) regions had highest burden, accounting for about half total. The 25–29 age group cases. Conclusion Over past 32 years, cases have risen globally, but death significantly decreased, particularly low SDI group. is higher lower SDI. Our findings highlight regional age-related disparities HDP, providing basis targeted interventions prevention strategies.
