Abstract
The
corrosion
resistance
and
mechanical
properties
directly
affects
the
operation
service
life
of
Al
2
O
3
‐Cr
refractories
used
in
waste
incinerators.
In
this
study,
ZrO
particles
were
introduced
via
vacuum
impregnation
to
adjust
microstructure
refractories.
results
showed
that
impregnated
increasing
times
resulted
decreased
median
pore
size
increased
compactness,
strengths
elevated
from
inhibited
cracks
propagation
by
particles.
amounts
large
pores
small
filled
penetration
low
melting
point
phases,
formed
CaZrO
phase
reactions
between
reagent
viscosity
penetrated
reagent,
resulting
index
8.57%
2.58%.
Meanwhile,
around
alumina
prevented
molten
alumina,
leading
3.78%
.74%.
formation
primary
factors
enhanced
resistance.
And
wrapped
layers
presented
prominent
effects

The
corrosion
resistance
of
low-carbon
Al2O3–C
refractories
was
improved
by
a
novel
preparation
method
to
satisfy
the
requirements

developed
smelting
