The phase change process of hydrated salts with great latent heat and non-flammable characteristics is a sustainable energy-saving avenue. However, the enormous supercooling degree separation problems hinder their thermal energy efficiency in practical applications. Hence, this study synthesized novel Na2HPO4·12H2O (DHPD)-vermiculite nanosheet (VMTNS) composites based on theoretical design. Incorporating friendly VMTNSs multiple active sites into DHPD salt can obtain excellent crystallization, thereby achieving high enthalpy (260.7 J/g) low (0.8°C). configuration both confined space surface was simulated by molecular dynamic calculation. This investigation provides an alternative to traditional encapsulated material or nucleating agent construct (PCM) heat.
