Abstract
The
degradation
of
methylene
blue
dye
via
tribocatalysis
using
0.5Ba(Zr
0.2
Ti
0.8
)O
3
‒0.5(Ba
0.7
Sr
0.3
)TiO
(BST‒BZT)
ceramic
powders
was
investigated
under
various
conditions.
tribocatalytic
process
initiated
magnetic
stirring
with
a
polytetrafluoroethylene‐coated
bar
in
glass
beaker
setup.
efficiency
evaluated
at
different
speeds
300,
500,
and
700
rpm.
results
showed
significant
variation
rates,
the
highest
∼73%
achieved
within
12
h
rotational
speed
Additionally,
impact
pH
on
examined
by
adjusting
solution
to
levels
3,
6,
9.
increased
higher
levels,
maximum
occurring
basic
medium
(pH
9).
Kinetic
analysis
revealed
that
adhered
pseudo‐first‐order
kinetics,
rate
constants
0.023,
0.035,
0.104
min⁻
1
rpm,
respectively.
This
study
showcases
potential
BST‒BZT
ceramics
as
efficient
tribocatalysts
for
degrading
organic
pollutants
wastewater,
emphasizing
efficiency.
