Microbial infections and colorectal cancer are significant contributors to mortality morbidity, necessitating prompt action. In the present work, NiTiO3 (NT), curcumin-loaded (CUNT), chitosan-loaded (CHNT), both curcumin (CUCHNT) hybrid nanomaterials (HNMs) were systematically prepared using Psidium guajava leaf extract. PXRD studies revealed that NT, CUNT, CHNT, CUCHNT exhibited a rhombohedral structure with R3̅ space group mean crystallite sizes of ∼66.41, ∼61.94, ∼61.65, ∼65.12 nm, respectively. Band gap energies estimated as ∼3.10, ∼3.15, ∼3.14, ∼3.15 eV for CUCHNT, Antibacterial efficacies synthesized HNMs analyzed against Gram-positive (G+) Gram-negative (G-) bacteria well diffusion method, zone inhibition (ZOI) by Staphylococcus aureus 11.5, 13, 12, 17.5 mm, respectively; those pneumoniae 9, 13.5, 11, 14 Klebsiella 10, 9.5, 17 Escherichia coli 16.5 ZOI results showed have superior antibacterial all tested bacterial strains compared CHNT. Cytotoxic capabilities MTT assay HCT-116 carcinoma cell line. All anticancer activity, exhibiting most pronounced having an IC50 value 87 μg/mL. Morphological changes death mechanisms studied dual AO/EtBr, H2DCFDA, JC-1 staining. These findings emphasize biosynthesized P. extract could be potential therapeutic agent antimicrobial applications.
