Preparation and Performance Analysis of GdInO3:Eu3+ Phosphor for Solid State Lighting Applications
Abstract
In
the
present
study,
novel
hexagonal
GdInO3:Eu3+
red
phosphors
were
prepared
by
a
high-temperature
solid-state
method.
Their
phase
composition,
microscopic
morphology
and
luminescence
properties
characterized
using
X-ray
diffraction,
scanning
electron
microscopy
photoluminescence
spectroscopy.
The
results
indicated
that
crystal
structure
of
matrix
material
was
unaffected
doping
different
concentrations
Eu3+.
existed
as
irregular
micro-sized
polyhedra.
They
emitted
630
nm
light
when
excited
395
ultraviolet
467
blue
sources.
optimal
content
Eu3+
found
to
be
0.07
corresponding
color
coordinates
GdInO3:0.07
phosphor
(0.6426,
0.3510),
with
fluorescence
lifetime
1.839
ms
activation
energy
(ΔE)
0.15
eV.
A
white
light-emitting
diode
(LED)
mixing
this
commercially
available
green
phosphors,
which
exhibited
remarkable
emission.
chromaticity
device
(0.3638,
0.3481)
rendering
index
83.5.
demonstrated
is
good
material,
can
utilized
in
LEDs.
