Abstract Photocatalysis is an efficient technology for the degradation of pollutants. However, it still needs to be improved. In this study, magnetic Z‐scheme FeP/CdS composites heterojunction photocatalysts were prepared by a facile hydrothermal method, and structure, morphology, optical, photocatalytic properties investigated in detail. The efficiency tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) removal was under different reaction conditions (including FeP CdS ratios, catalyst dosage, hydrogen peroxide consumption, temperature, initial pH). exhibited better catalytic performance compared with pure components. F 1 Cd composite (mass ratio 1:1) achieved 92.7% TCH; moreover, exhibits high stability after five consecutive cycles. capture experiments on active material showed that TCH mainly dominated •OH; however, •O 2 − , e h + played minor role, mechanism revealed combining various characterization techniques. introduction cadmium sulfide formed effective photogenerated carrier transport channel at interface iron phosphide surface, which could accelerate transfer separation photo‐excited /h pairs, thus improving TCH.
