Infectious diseases are the leading cause of deaths in adults aged 65 years or older. Studies adverse infection outcomes have been limited to specific infections and acute episodes not investigated longitudinal trends cumulative infections. We aimed identify distinct trajectories older assess their corresponding risk all-cause mortality. In this retrospective cohort study, we included people who were admitted hospital between Jan 1 Dec 31, 2011, with one following infections: urinary tract, pneumonia, sepsis, cellulitis, cholecystitis, peritonitis, endocarditis, meningitis. Participants identified from Taiwan's National Health Insurance Research Database. analysed on a quarterly basis during 5-year period (2011-15) used group-based trajectory modelling trajectories. examined associations mortality using Kaplan-Meier curves Cox proportional hazard model.Among 79 666 eligible adults, four over follow-up: infrequent (58 619 [73·6%]), increasing (9746 [12·2%]), decreasing (9069 [11·4%]), frequent (2232 [2·8%]). Intrinsic capacity (IC), defined by the World Health Organization's Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE) framework, is crucial promoting healthy aging. Understanding associations between IC impairments and age-related biomarkers can provide insights into underlying pathophysiological mechanisms potential interventions.

Abstract Objectives Vaccination workers play an important role in the acceptance of various vaccines patients with chronic liver diseases. We mainly investigated attitude vaccination toward COVID-19 disease. Methods An anonymous, population-based, cross-sectional online survey were completed by 721 out 1008 (71.5%) from July 1st to 14th, 2022, disease Taizhou, China. The data uploaded Wen-Juan-Xing, one largest platforms for collecting data. Results found that only 51.9% recommended all diseases vaccinations. 81% fully fatty and hepatitis B, while 53.1% them cirrhosis cancer. Logistic regression analysis showed who had undergone systematic training more likely recommend four get vaccinated (OR: 1.59; 95% CI: 1.05–2.43, p = 0.030). believed it is safe vaccinate against 8.12; 1.84–35.88, 0.006). Conclusion hold a positive towards recommending needs be improved. Strengthening could improve vaccine immunization coverage.
