BACKGROUND Wearable devices with real-time feedback (WRF) provide increasing opportunities to enhance adherence and improve performance in rehabilitation through collecting processing health-related data. Real-time from the device is expected result a more dynamic, coordinated synchronous rhythmic activity. However, age-specific characteristics of WRF integrating audio or sound during activity have largely remained unexplored. OBJECTIVE The study investigates use wearable for among older adults aged 65 above perspective age heterogeneity. explores adults’ previous wearables track their physical activity, interactive features enhancing synchronisation METHODS was conducted as qualitative interview 18 who used 3-week period at home Sweden. chest-band sensor that helps users synchronise steps heartbeat provision feedback. material consists pre-interview before using device, post-interview after device. Material semi-structured interviews analysed an inductive content analysis method. Device-generated data on usage were contextualise RESULTS identified three themes emergence heterogeneity wearables: (1) Limited non-use (2) step heart rate device-guided (3) interaction modalities WRF. contradiction between personal goals device-related might hinder wearables, whereas enjoyment, sense accomplishment social motivations can drive uptake wearables. Device-guided required participants change natural walking rhythm, which resulted disruption considered convenient finding right perceived improvement over time. CONCLUSIONS Age pronounced interconnected levels: efficiency modalities. concludes user experience but responding these require adaptive solutions ensure long-term engagement

BACKGROUND Mindfulness-based interventions have been demonstrated to be an effective method improve bodily and emotional well-being, but few studies explored individual differences heterogeneity in the self-perceived benefits of digital mindfulness among older adults aged 65 above. Although voice-based technologies can increase accessibility training, expected effects may not similar all user groups. Digital health are often used by individuals with a high literacy. OBJECTIVE The study investigates what extent app well-being (aged above), how incorporate their daily routines, different interaction modalities impacts experience. METHODS A mixed combining quantitative survey questionnaires qualitative semi-structured interviews was conducted over who for 3-week period homes Sweden (N=15). on were measured Five Facets Mindfulness Questionnaire, WHO5 Well-being Index, which analysed through descriptive statistics. Qualitative content analysis explore mindfulness, engagement app. RESULTS Results WHO-5 index showed overall improvement mean values results from Questionnaire 11 15 questions, particularly non-reactivity. Younger participants (under 76) those evaluated as reported higher improvements scale after use. Due small sample size, these statistically significant. identified four main themes benefits: (1) Relaxation breathing, (2) Improved awareness, (3) awareness (4) Pain management. Participants described that continuity temporality use significant noticing mindfulness.
