Biomass-based solutions have been discussed as having the potential to replace fossil-based in iron and steel industry. To produce biocarbon required these processes, thermochemical treatment, pyrolysis, typically takes place. There are various ways biocarbon, alongside other products, which called pyrolysis oil gas. These conversion methods can be divided into conventional non-conventional methods. In this paper, those techniques technologies summarized reviewed. Additionally, effect of different process parameters their on yield properties summarized. The considered were final temperature, heating rate, reaction atmosphere, pressure, catalyst, use binders, particle size. Finally, reactor configurations is discussed. Understanding combination methods, technology parameters, will help with desired quality highest possible.

Abstract Owing to the enormous consumption of petroleum products and their environmental polluting nature, attention has been given seeking alternative resources for development sustainable products. Biomass is a renewable source that can be converted variety fuels chemicals by different approaches, which are best replacements traditional petroleum‐derived Pyrolysis process in chemical bonds biomass macromolecules such as cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, fractured into small molecular intermediates under high pressure, results bio‐oil, biochar, fuel gases desired Of these pyrolysis products, bio‐oil primary product usually contains large amounts oxygen nitrogen compounds hinder its application potential. Catalytic beneficial method reported alter constituents quality upgrade them diverse applications. hydropyrolysis copyrolysis an approaches overcome drawbacks raised toward formation process. Layered double hydroxides (LDH) derived forms well‐known catalytic/catalytic support materials various reactions due superior properties, easy preparation, thermal stability, tuneable acid/base properties. This review summarizes progress utilization as‐synthesized LDH modified mixed metal oxides functionalized/composite active catalysts sources.
