Hydrothermal synthesis of MCM-48 molecular sieves featuring the incorporation both iron and cobalt with Si/M ratios 20, 40 80 (where M represents either or cobalt) was performed using tetraethyl orthosilicate as silica source cetyltrimethylammonium bromide a template. To gain comprehensive understanding synthesized materials, these were thoroughly characterized various techniques, including XRD, XPS, UV–Vis (DRS), FT-IR, N2 adsorption-desorption analysis, SEM EDX, TEM, TGA NH3-TPD analysis. XRD analysis revealed presence well-ordered structure in metal-incorporated while XPS DRS confirmed successful partial metal ions precisely their desired tetrahedral coordination within framework. assess catalytic performance, we studied activity selectivity catalysts liquid phase oxidation toluene tert-butyl hydroperoxide oxidant. Under optimized conditions, employing 6% (w/w) Fe-MCM-48 (40) catalyst maintaining to oxidant molar ratio 1:3 at 353 K solvent-free environment for 8 h, reaction resulted formation benzaldehyde (88.1%) major product benzyl alcohol (11.9%) minor product.

Breath analysis is increasingly recognized as a powerful noninvasive diagnostic technique, and plethora of exhaled volatile biomarkers have been associated with various diseases. However, traditional analytical methodologies are not amenable to high-throughput applications at the point need. An optical spectroscopic surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), mostly used in research setting for liquid sample analysis, has recently applied breath-based diagnostics. This promising tool demonstrated identification diseases, including lung cancer, gastric diabetes. The versatility SERS enabled use different strategies allowed fast accurate detection small analytes breath. In this review, we provide an overview recent advances SERS-based breath focusing on sensors gases organic compounds (VOCs) breath, highlight generic preconcentration methods spectral analysis. We aim state art inspiration further investigation expiration.
