Among various routes of metallic nanoparticle (NPs) fabrication, phytosynthesis has significant advantages over other conventional approaches. Plant-mediated synthesis NPs is a fast, one-step, ecobenign, and inexpensive method with high scalability. Herein, silver (Ag) gold (Au)-NPs were extracellularly synthesized using aqueous Haloxylon salicornicum (H@Ag-, H@Au-NPs) leaf extracts. GC-MS was performed to analyze the chemical compositions H. extract. H@Ag- H@Au-NPs characterized via UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared X-ray diffraction, transmission scanning electron microscopy, Zetasizer. have surface plasmon resonance at 435.5 530.3 nm, respectively. FTIR data suggest that secondary plant metabolites hydrocarbons might be responsible for reduction stabilization NPs. XRD demonstrated both crystalline nature. H@Ag-NPs uniform spherical shape, whereas are few oval triangular shapes, their average nanosizes 19.1 ± 0.8 8.1 0.3 Hydrodynamic diameters 184.7 56.4, 295.4 potential charges −24.0 −24.4 mV, The inhibitory activity 500 µg/mL tested against Sw480, Sw620, HCT-116, Caco-2 colon cancer cell lines two normal lines, including HFs Vero. revealed potent anticancer all cells low concentrations. Sw480 most sensitive H@Ag-NPs, Sw620 least permeable one.
