The plant-microbe holobiont has garnered considerable attention in recent years, highlighting its importance as an ecological unit. Similarly, manipulation of the microbial entities involved rhizospheric microbiome for sustainable agriculture also been limelight, generating several commercial bioformulations to enhance crop yield and pest resistance. These were termed biofertilizers, with consistent existence evolution different types. However, emerging area interest recently focused on application these microorganisms waste valorization production “bio-organic” fertilizers a result. In this study, we performed bibliometric analysis systematic review literature retrieved from Scopus Web Science determine type inoculants used bioconversion into fertilizers. Bacillus, Acidothiobacillus species, cyanobacterial biomass Aspergillus sp. Trichoderma identified be consistently recovery nutrients wastes promotion plant growth. Cyanobacterial strains predominantly wastewater treatment, while Acidothiobacillus, wide variety such sawdust, agricultural waste, poultry bone meal, crustacean shell food treatment (WWTP) sewage sludge ash. Several strategies observed submerged fermentation, solid-state aerobic composting, granulation microbiological activation, biodegradation. Diverse groups (bacteria fungi) enzymatic functionalities chitinolysis, lignocellulolytic, proteolysis, addition their growth promoting properties being explored consortium inoculum Combining efficiency functional compatible species efficient well higher is enticing opportunity fertilizer research.
