Chloramphenicol antibiotics (CAPs) are broad-spectrum antibiotics, and excessive consumption has led to increasingly dangerous residues in the environment. The accumulation of these highly toxic difficult-to-biodegrade CAPs their long-term exposure ecological environments can pose insidious hazards human health aquatic organisms. In this study, co-carbon composite nanocatalysts (CoxZn10−x-NC) with many carbon nanotubes on surface were prepared via one-step pyrolysis bimetallic CoxZn10−x-ZIF different Co/Zn ratios used for degradation trace amounts a water column. microstructure chemical composition catalysts fully characterized using SEM, TEM, XPS. CAP experiments demonstrated that Co6Zn4-NC CoxZn10−x-NC possessed highest catalytic activity level, removing 100% 60 min. had corresponding reaction rate constant 0.22 min−1, was able completely mineralize 44.57% them. Doping moderate Zn effectively improve nanotube structure catalyst promote generation monoatomic Co, thus improving activity. results free-radical burst electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) showed pathway mainly dominated within Co6Zn4-NC+PMS system, which SO4•− main ROS degradation.
