Advanced oxidation processes based on activated peracetic acid (PAA) have been widely used in water treatment. In this study, magnetite was first employed PAA activation for Bisphenol A (BPA) degradation. The results showed that the magnetic/PAA system degraded 94.6% BPA 60 min at neutral pH (pH=6.7), exhibiting a higher rate constant (kobs=0.051 min-1) than or alone. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) proved ≡Fe(II) and surface hydroxyl group (OOH) were dominant active sites, which promoted electron transfer between magnetite, PAA, BPA. According to scavenging experiments paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrum, main reactive oxygen species responsible degradation include organic radicals(·CH3COOO), Hydroxyl radical(·OH) singlet (1O2). pathway determined by LC-MS analysis, toxicity of intermediates evaluated ECOSAR wheat seed growth inhibition experiment. addition, magnetite/PAA presented good adaptability under both acidic conditions, demonstrating efficient even presence complex matrices such as Cl−, NO3− humic bodies while HCO3- H2PO4- inhibited This study not only reveals mechanism activating but also provides new idea applying PAA-based AOPs remove micropollutants wastewater.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an important monomer in the production of polycarbonate plastic and its derivatives. The daily widespread use BPA-containing products has led to wide distribution as a contaminant xenobiotic water, soil, atmosphere. Its impact associated with disruptions endocrine, nervous, immune, reproductive systems. Currently, methods for effective removal BPA from environment are actively being researched, including through enzymatic activity microorganisms. Literature provides numerous data on effects dissolved xenobiotics microbial viability, but there lack information solid powdered BPA. This study investigated granular at concentrations significantly exceeding those found soils growth lignin peroxidase Corynebacterium glutamicum Micrococcus luteus. It been established that pollutant form capable inhibiting both studied prokaryotic species within just 24 hours cultivation. diameter lysis zones ranged between 0.4-0.7 cm M. luteus 0.5-0.9 C. glutamicum, depending dose applied. For prolonged destructive compound was noted, evidenced by increase up 168 into experiment. In contrast, no definitive pattern observed – maximum inhibition 48 hours, significant differences noted thereafter. introduction all concentrations, particularly 7.5 mg/mL liquid nutrient media, promotes microorganisms increases content total protein peroxidase. These results likely explained action bisphenol stress factor. Under these conditions, it probable protective mechanisms bacteria, aid utilization A, begin be synthesized activated..
