Photocatalysts, such as TiO2, are widely used in photoreduction. However, drawbacks like their wide band gap and short carrier lifetime lead to lower efficiencies with use. Introducing defects forming heterostructures of TiO2 could extend the carrier’s light-harvesting range from UV visible light enhance its lifetime. Herein, an electron-beam irradiation-defected was induced MIL-88B(Fe). The structure material characterized using XRD, FT-IR, TEM, HRTEM, XPS techniques. Remarkably, under 300 kGy irradiation performed best a series 0, 100, 300, 500 ratios. PL UV–vis DRS were utilized measure material’s optical properties. introduction MIL-88B(Fe) expanded response range, reduced gap, lengthened defective composite photocatalysts, resulting superior TC photoreduction capabilities 88B5%300, which degraded 97% tetracycline (10 mg/L) water after 120 min.
