Abstract Variants of concern (VOCs) Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) exhibit high infectivity due to mutations, particularly in the spike protein, that facilitate enhanced binding virus human angiotensin‐converting enzyme (hACE2). The D614G mutation, situated S1‐domain, promotes open conformation augmenting its interaction with hACE2. Activated water neutralizes pathogens by damaging biological molecules; however, effect on mutated SARS‐CoV‐2 or VOCs requires further exploration. Here, efficacy nitric oxide (NO x )‐plasma activated (PAW) inhibiting infections pseudovirus expressing D614G‐mutated protein is investigated, which serves as a model for SARS‐CoV‐2. Results demonstrated prevalence mutation and VOCs. NO ‐PAW non‐toxic cells at concentration, infection 71%. Moreover, induced structural changes S1‐domain reducing affinity lowering clathrin‐mediated endocytosis‐related gene expression. Additionally, silico analysis revealed species played key role impairing function interacting directly it. Collectively, these findings reveal potent inactivation ability PAW against suggest potential application combating emerging variants other viral threats.

The water treatment process with ozone is influenced by various operating parameters and environmental factors that can impact its efficiency. In this study, experiments were conducted using a Venturi pumping frame to investigate the effects of three controllable variables: oxygen flow height, applied voltage level, rate. tests aimed develop mathematical model accurately represents relationship between these input variables resulting concentration in treated water. experimental data was analyzed MODDE 5.0 software, specialized application for statistical modeling design experiments. By fitting appropriate equations, obtained quantifies influence each variable their interactions on response. To optimize performance, particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm employed extract best-fit model. PSO computational technique inspired social behavior bird flocks or fish schools, utilizing population candidate solutions evolve iteratively converge global optimum solution. case, searched parameter values minimized error predicted experimentally measured concentrations, rapidly converging an accurate optimized enables predicting under any combination voltage, rate within range. This predictive capability facilitates identifying conditions maximize concentration, thereby enhancing efficiency process. serves as valuable tool control, monitoring, optimization, ensuring consistent quality while minimizing resource consumption operational costs.

Nitric oxide (NO), a potential therapeutic antiaging molecule, modulates various physiological and cellular processes. However, alterations in endogenous NO levels brought on by aging impact multiple organ systems heighten susceptibility to age-related skin diseases. This correlation underscores the importance of investigating NO-based interventions. Nonthermal plasma-generated is promising avenue for cosmetic regenerative medicine due its capacity stimulate growth. Herein, we examine nitric water (NOW) as bioactive agent human dermal fibroblasts, emphasizing gene expression patterns linked extracellular matrix (ECM) breakdown senescence. The findings our study indicate that administering NOW at lower dosages enhances cell migration proliferation. Moreover, genetic signatures associated with ECM synthesis, antioxidant defense, antisenescence pathways have been analyzed NOW-exposed cells. Notably, downregulation ECM-degrading enzyme transcripts─collagenase, elastase, hyaluronidase─suggests NOW's mitigating intrinsic phenomena, promise interventions advancing strategies within medicine.
