Microplastics
have
become

The
intentional
or
accidental
presence
of
environmental
contaminants,

Methodological
developments
have
allowed
MNPLs

detected
in
an
increasing
variety
foods,

It
was
suggested
early
that
the
direct
contact
between
intestinal
tissues
could
represent
a
potential
risk
for
health.
In

over
last
3
years,
numerous
studies
evaluated
impact
MNPL
ingestion
on
homeostasis
rodents.
