The occurrence of contaminants emerging concern (CECs) in several environmental compartments has raised significant given the extensive array compounds and their consistent detection across various matrices. Monitoring all potentially harmful identifying sources is nearly impossible. However, providing data on crucial lays groundwork for decision makers to craft mitigation strategies toward a more sustainable water policy. Hence, primary aim this study was conduct an evaluation CECs environment. main novelty relies understanding specific pathway three different aquatic compartments. Initially, five most common types found ecosystems (groundwater surface water) wastewater were considered. each group CECs, identified. A bibliographic portfolio generated through application review.
