With the growth of population and development industry agriculture, water resources are experiencing contamination by numerous pollutants, posing a threat to aquatic environment human health. Zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) membranes, as solution for pollutant treatment, not only have advantages high efficiency adsorption, good selectivity, stability, easy recyclability, but they also can be modified or derivatized through surface functionalization, compositing, structural tuning, which further endow membranes with other functions, such catalysis degradation. In order improve performance ZIF it is crucial select suitable preparation methods optimize microstructure separation stability membranes. This review systematically summarizes current major their respective disadvantages, providing an overview applications in treatment dyes, antibiotics, heavy metal ions. Future prospects discussed, expectation that future research will synthesis enhance mechanical strength permeability, anti-fouling properties modifications functionalization. article expected provide theoretical support application pollution treatment.
