Oxygen, an odorless and colorless gas constituent of the atmosphere, is a vital component for Earth, as it makes up 21% composition air we breathe. Apart from importance oxygen human breathing, its highly pure form demanding industrial applications. As such, several technologies have been established to increase purity somewhat higher than 95%. One competitive producing this high-purity through pressure swing adsorption (PSA), which has advantages low cost energy while being efficient. Also, PSA simple flexible system due ability start shut down more rapidly since operation occurs at ambient temperature, enabled use adsorbents bind separate molecules. The enhancement PSA’s performances was reported modification step cycles material (zeolite) tailoring. A simplified complete set mathematical model included modelling system, aiming ease experimental burden process design optimization infinite cycles. Finally, some technological production via PSA, particularly onboard generation oxy-enriched incineration municipal solid waste, discussed. Continuous development will make significant contributions wide range chemical industries in near future, be or other separation

The conversion of lignocellulosic agricultural waste into biofuels and other economically valuable compounds can reduce dependence on fossil fuels, harmful gas emissions, support the sustainability natural resources, including water, minimize amount in landfills, thus reducing environmental degradation. In this paper, wastes biomethane, biohydrogen, biodiesel, bioethanol, biobutanol, bio-oil is reviewed, with special emphasis primary secondary residues as substrates. Some novel approaches are mentioned that offer opportunities to increase efficiency valorization, e.g., hybrid systems. addition physical, chemical, biological pretreatment waste, some combined methods mitigate negative effects various recalcitrant processing (alkali-assisted thermal pretreatment, hydrolysis alkali bioaugmentation) evaluated. addition, production volatile fatty acids, polyhydroxyalkanoates, biochar, hydrochar, cellulosic nanomaterials, selected platform chemicals from described. Biogas produced from anaerobic digestion of organic materials is emerging as a renewable energy source. Unfortunately, the large quantities CO2 contained in raw biogas greatly decreases its calorific value, thus efficient separation needed to upgrade biomethane. Several technologies, based on physical or chemical sorption CO2, are already available but they suffer some drawbacks, primarily related their negative impact environment and/or high requirements. Development alternative green upgrading technologies therefore needed, and research growing exponentially this field. As consequence, frequent assessment state art these rapidly evolving required. This review summarizes latest advances strategies for unconventional solvents such ionic liquids deep eutectic clathrate/semi clathrate hydrates, which low cost, ease operation environmental sustainability represent attractive advantages over conventional technologies. In particular, present work focused performance sorbent systems terms CO2/CH4 selectivity rather than absorption capacity. Indeed, most important parameter evaluating suitability practical applications, means negligible CH4 losses. The scientific results published last few years have been collected discussed serve guide researchers choosing optimal technology operating conditions perspective environmentally friendly biogas. Ionic excellent candidates upgrading, especially form hybrid systems, show best selectivity. Similarly, via hydrates can be considered efficient, cost-effective. However, drawbacks still need addressed.
