Abstract Objective The Multidimensional Assessment of Parenting Scale (MAPS) was developed to assess a wide range behaviors across positive and negative domains parenting. This study aims expand the utility MAPS by evaluating youth-report version which provides an additional perspective on parenting practices. Method evaluated form (MAPS-Y) in large clinical population ( N = 628) ranging from middle childhood (8-12) adolescence (13-17) who were admitted partial inpatient psychiatric units. Youth their caregivers completed parent youth versions questionnaire, measures child adolescent psychopathology, emotion regulation, family context, adversity. Analyses factor structure, reliability, agreement, validity performed. also examined short MAPS-Y for reliability validity. Results CFA model fit indices indicated that all items loaded as expected onto subscales with good fit. support strong reliability. structure invariant developmental stages, included both domains, demonstrated psychometric properties. Conclusion its are appropriate use among children adolescents experiencing acute symptoms. will allow nuanced, in-depth assessment beyond parent-report critical treatment outcomes youth.

Abstract This doctoral study explored headteachers' lived experiences of leading trauma‐informed education in their special schools for pupils with adverse childhood (ACEs) and social, emotional mental health (SEMH) needs throughout since the coronavirus (Covid‐19) pandemic. Five headteachers SEMH day England participated semi‐structured interviews late 2023. Transcripts were examined using interpretative phenomenological analysis. The focused on participants' perspectives leadership during pandemic, including light Government policy guidance, perceived impacts schools, themselves. Key lessons include recommending that policymakers seek to understand sector better by consulting those experience leading, working at, attending schools. In doing so, this understanding should inform smarter supports ACEs future emergencies. research also identifies need provide more effective support times crisis.

Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic introduced unique stressors that posed significant threats to adolescent mental health. However, limited research has examined the impact of trauma exposure on vulnerability subsequent stressor-related health outcomes in adolescents. Furthermore, it is unclear whether there are protective factors promote resilience against negative impacts adolescents with prior exposure. This preregistered study aimed investigate difficulties adolescents, addition role factors. Methods Aims were investigated a sample 9696 (mean age 12.85 ± 0.88 years) from Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study.
