This study conducts a spatio-temporal analysis to identify trends and clusters of child sexual abuse in Mexico City before, during, after the COVID-19 pandemic. Sexual abuses children were analyzed considering various crime theories. Trends patterns identified using time series decomposition spatial autocorrelation techniques. Legal abortion has recently been suggested as an essential healthcare service. In this study, we consider whether legalization over 1969-1973 improved women's health, measured by maternal mortality. Our event-study results indicate that legal substantially lowered non-white mortality 30-40%, with 113 deaths averted nationally in the first year became legal. We also find early state-level legalizations were crucial, and more influential than Roe v. Wade decision itself.
