Ports play a crucial role in facilitating global trade and logistics, serving as vital hubs that connect countries continents. However, they are susceptible to disruptions disasters due their natural characteristics, while resilience is essential for maintaining regular operations, especially the face of disruptions. From perspective inputs outputs, this study evaluates nine major Chinese ports from 2011 2021, using super-efficiency slacks-based measure network data envelopment analysis (SBM-NDEA). This approach extends beyond evaluating port's internal capacities, incorporating urban economic factors critical ensuring long-term resilience. The novel method assessing port its positive ramifications offers clearer understanding specific stages requiring improvement, thereby enhancing overall ports. Specifically, three considered: absorptive, adaptive, restorative. results reveal different exhibits distinct trends above stages. Shenzhen Port demonstrates superior performance both absorptive adaptive stages, Rizhao excels restorative stage. research contributes advancing academic knowledge industry practices by offering new insights, methodologies, practical implications

Abstract Bioeconomic supply chains (BioSC) processing biogenic resources and substituting fossil‐based products are prone to weather‐induced feedstock disruptions, which likely increase in severity frequency due climate change. To attain security of biobased that contribute sustainable development, BioSCs should be equipped with a certain level “resilience” against unexpected fluctuations. Existing BioSC models usually capture producer resilience maximize profitability for anticipated scenarios. Consumer unanticipated events has drawn less attention. encounter the unforeseen both consumer perspectives, we present two‐step approach: (1) resilient planning European producing bioethanol as petrol substitute from straw perspective; novel step (2) assesses “actual” unanticipated, random scenarios economic, environmental implications. While producer‐resilient chain lower production capacity already high storage capacities under fluctuations, degrades. In contrast, consumer‐resilient have higher maintain security. Although this network redundancy comes impacts facility construction operation (production transport), benefit exceeds those burdens most life cycle assessment categories. Consequently, can congruent sustainability supported by policymakers strengthen bioeconomy guide producers toward chains.
