Essential oils (EOs) are volatile secondary metabolites of natural plants with multitudinous pharmacological activities. However, limited by their properties, such as low solubility, high volatility, photothermal instability, irritation, release, etc., EOs encounter significant challenges in pharmaceutical applications. Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have been developed for the transdermal delivery biomolecules and lipid-soluble drugs. Herein, a series DES carriers were synthesized to improve undesirable properties EOs. We first optimized DESs according solubilization aqueous dispersity using Chimonanthus nitens Oliv. EO (COEO) model EO. Then, EO–DES formulations diluted prepare optimal nanoformulations (AqEDs). Mechanically, hydrogen bonding allowed dissolve complex components EOs; meanwhile, interaction forces, π–π stacking bonding, drove assemble into nanostructures conditions, forming AqEDs. Lastly, case study demonstrated that clove EO-AqEDscould effectively promote methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus-infected wound healing vivo, along biocompatibility. This AqED strategy provides generalized platform solubilizing improving transdermal/topical delivery.

Echinochloa crus-galli is a serious weed species in rice paddies. To obtain new potential bioherbicide, we evaluated the inhibitory activities of 13 essential oils and their active substances against E. crus-galli. Essential oil from Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Merr. & L. M. Perry (SAEO) exhibited highest herbicidal activity (EC50 = 3.87 mg mL-1) among evaluated. The SAEO was isolated at six different temperatures by vacuum fractional distillation, including 164°C, 165°C (SAEO-165), 169°C, 170°C 175°C 180°C. SAEO-165 had rate Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry high phase liquid chromatography identified eugenol 4.07 mL-1), α-caryophyllene 17.34 β-caryophyllene 96.66 as three compounds SAEO. Results safety bioassay showed that tolerance seedling (~ 20% inhibition) higher than 70% under stress. induced excessive generation reactive oxygen leading to oxidative stress ultimately tissue damage Our results indicate has for development into selective bio-herbicide. They also provide an example sustainable management strategy

Biopolymers have gained notoriety due to their unique physical, chemical, and mechanical characteristics performances. Due regenerability, compostability, biocompatibility, non-immunogenic, non-toxic, or non-allergenic properties, they surpassed the boundaries of food industry become fundamental components in biomedicine pharmaceutical industry. Thus, most well-known applications are as drug delivery systems, tissue engineering, wound dressings. In addition all these characteristics, biopolymeric films proven be excellent matrices for incorporating various biologically active substances: natural compounds, essential oils, antioxidants, etc. The present study aimed develop sodium alginate films, with tea tree chamomile oils capsules. After development through casting method, materials were tested evaluate physical properties (thickness, retraction ratio, color, transparency, opacity), chemical (antioxidant characteristics), (tensile strength elongation), well solubility (water activity index, swelling water absorption capacity). results indicated that based - capsules can used cosmetic industries developing regenerative properties. Similarly, other substances incorporated, technology easily scaled up an industrial level.
