Essential oils (EOs) are volatile secondary metabolites of natural plants with multitudinous pharmacological activities. However, limited by their properties, such as low solubility, high volatility, photothermal instability, irritation, release, etc., EOs encounter significant challenges in pharmaceutical applications. Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have been developed for the transdermal delivery biomolecules and lipid-soluble drugs. Herein, a series DES carriers were synthesized to improve undesirable properties EOs. We first optimized DESs according solubilization aqueous dispersity using Chimonanthus nitens Oliv. EO (COEO) model EO. Then, EO–DES formulations diluted prepare optimal nanoformulations (AqEDs). Mechanically, hydrogen bonding allowed dissolve complex components EOs; meanwhile, interaction forces, π–π stacking bonding, drove assemble into nanostructures conditions, forming AqEDs. Lastly, case study demonstrated that clove EO-AqEDscould effectively promote methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus-infected wound healing vivo, along biocompatibility. This AqED strategy provides generalized platform solubilizing improving transdermal/topical delivery.

This study investigates the effect of incorporating lavender microcapsules into flooring coatings on surface properties flooring. The experimental results indicate that after adding microcapsules, flooring’s color, gloss, wear resistance, and hydrophobicity experienced slight changes, with a color difference (ΔE) below 2 units, gloss decreasing by 8%, resistance reducing approximately 5%. However, these changes were within an acceptable range. Chemical composition analysis confirmed fragrance-releasing microcapsules. Furthermore, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) verified structural integrity their effective fragrance release. demonstrates introduction not only enhances scent perception but also achieves long-term release while maintaining its fundamental physical properties, highlighting potential for practical applications.

The specie of Eugenia uniflora L., commonly known as Pitanga, is a tree from the Myrtaceae family widely distributed in Brazil and South American. Presents recognized ethnopharmacological activities, mainly due to leaves essential oil (EO). However, few studies have investigated correlations between composition biological all them using one-dimensional gas chromatography (GC/MS). This study discusses chemical pitanga OE by GC×GC/TOFMS, vitro antioxidant activity (DPPH ORAC assay), ocular irritation Hen's Egg Test-Chorioallantoic Membrane (HET-CAM). 89 compounds were identified more than usual literature GC/MS, including selina-1,3,7(11)-trien-8-one epoxide (20.09%) marker this specie. Isospathulenol, dimethyl-bicyclo[octanone]-diisopropylidene, 14-oxi-α-muurolene, 2-α-acetoxy-amorpha-4,7(11)-dien-8-one also found. OE's DPPH assays showed 95.5/mL 685.6 µmol TE/g, respectively, while HET-CAM assay non-ocular irritating potential. Therefore, one can consider be most complete involving oil.
