New towns (NTs) are essential habitats in metropolitan areas with many residents. However, Asian countries, NTs have a design gap between theory and practice from the viewpoint of self-containment. This study aims to clarify self-containment through destination analysis by facility type across generations. As case study, this selected Senboku-NT, which has approximately 48,000 older adults aged 60 years above, accounting for 43.0% total population. conducted an origin–destination based on generations using GPS Location History data October 1, 2023, 31, 2023. The results showed that significantly higher number live within Senboku-NT. result, according urban types, visited commercial leisure facilities finding is important because it indicates may be self-contained Therefore, we need redesign living environment accommodate changing lifestyles growing adults.

Many developed countries need to plan urban policies based on multidimensional factors related population change. However, empirical research has been inconsistent with respect identifying these factors, including economic-, social-, and urban-planning-related factors. The purpose of this study is clarify the nonlinear that are correlated changes according city size. In analysis, change rate was defined as outcome variable, 269 economic, social, educational index (ESE index) were used predictor variables. Data stratified three sizes. Using ESE index, XGBoost algorithm analyze relationship between data.
