Demographic policy is one of the key tasks almost any state at present time. It correlates with solution pressing problems in economic and social spheres, directly depends on healthcare, education, migration other factors affects socio-economic development both individual regions country as a whole. Many Russian foreign researchers believe that demographic indicators very accurately reflect political situation state. The relevance study due to fact for progressive country, positive dynamics are necessary. main sign negative has developed modern Russia number countries, primarily European, growing scale depopulation (population extinction). purpose this work was analyze existing compare trends countries. uses methods statistical data analysis, comparison fertility, mortality, natural population decline, migration, marriage rates Republic Srpska, retrospective research institutional environment created by action national programs “Demography”, “Providing accessible comfortable housing public services citizens Federation”, “Strategy period until 2024”, Presidential decrees, etc. Research shown despite measures taken overcome crisis, Russia’s continues decline. According Federal State Statistics Service Federation (Rosstat), 1 January 2023, 146.45 million people lived Russia. By 2046, according Rosstat forecast published October 2023 country’s will decrease 138.77 people. To solve Federation, project “Demography” approved. government allocated more than 3 trillion rubles its implementation. However, it not possible completely trend. authors proposed ideological within framework agglomeration, family support policies can be used strategies aimed overcoming crisis.

Vast rural populations squeezed into cities, leaving small townships hollowed out. Even so, some townships’ lands are still expanding. The dilemma of land expansion with a shrinking population raises various challenges including farmland reduction. Much the current research on impervious has focused urban areas, while were often neglected. Based high-resolution satellite data and statistic in 1993–2018, this study explored long-term township dynamics real-world relationship their for 17 first-batch-of-strong-tourism counties China. results showed that over past 26 years, there had been an increasing trend areas counties. There diseconomies scale expansion, i.e., township’s became less efficient population. area was predominantly converted from cropland (ranging 16.40% to 71.96%). highlands also increasing, although most growth occurred lowlands. patterns mainly dominated by infilling edge-expansion during early stage, after which leapfrogging occurred, increased again recent years.
