Two pyrazine dicarboxylic acid and phosphite-bridging lanthanide-incorporated tellurotungstates [H2N(CH3)2]12 Na4[Ln4(H2O)2(H2PDBA)2(HPO3)2W6O10][B-α-TeW8O31]4 · 70H2O [Ln = Eu3+ (1), Tb3+ (2); H2PDBA 2,5-pyrazine acid) were prepared, which contain four [B-α-TeW8O31]10– subunits a deca-nuclear heterometallic [Ln(H2O)2(HPO3)2 (H2PDBA)2(W3O5)2]24+ cluster. Strikingly, two ligands connect equivalent {W3Eu2O5(H2O)(B-α-TeW8O31)2(HPIIIO3)}8– moieties to form the polyanion skeleton, while phosphite plays bridging role in joining lanthanide centers moiety. In addition fluorescence (FL) properties of 1 2 at room temperature, their temperature-dependent FL also investigated. 80–298 K, intensities decrease as temperature increases, maximum relative sensitivities (Sr) are 3.70 1.99% K–1, whereas minimum uncertainties (δT) 1.25 1.18 K for 2. 298–973 upon increasing initially rise maxima 373 subsequently decrease. This is because samples undergo dehydration together with amorphization below 473 decomposition above this temperature. work lays foundation development luminescent thermometers based on polyoxometalates.

Photochromic materials are increasingly attracting attention for their potential applications in smart devices. Here, a novel organic-inorganic hybrid Zr-containing polyoxometalate [H2N(CH3)2]10H8[Zr(DL-tart)2(SbW17ZrO58)2]·36H2O (DL-tartH4 = dl-Tartaric Acid) (1) was synthesized. The dimeric polyanion of 1 contains two Dawson-like {SbW17ZrO58}7- subunits bridged by one {Zr(DL-tart)2}4- connector. Interestingly, compound exhibits rapid photochromic response with half-life (t1/2) 6.62 s, good reversibility, and an easy fading process air environment. Notably, also retains its behavior upon exposure to visible light irradiation.

Usually, complexes with different connections and shapes are constructed by regulating the substituents. However, it is extremely challenging to construct two lanthanide dimensions only fine-tuning substituents of ligands, especially (−CH3 −CH2CH3) almost similar physical chemical properties. Herein, multidentate chelating connection modes were successfully using a multicomponent "one-pot method" under guidance coordination method (MCC). They 11-nuclear molecular cluster (Dy11) metal–organic layer (2D-Dy). Specifically, when selected ligand an imidazole-2-carboxaldehyde derivative its substituent −CH3, layered 2D-Dy obtained. The linker [Dy(HL1)3] propeller configuration formed Dy(III) ion acylhydrazone (HL1) condensation three salicylhydrazides 1-methyl-1H-imidazole-2-carboxaldehyde. above linkers further linked alternately propeller-shaped [Dy(NO3)3] as secondary building unit (SBU) form 2D-Dy. In addition, changing −CH3 on −CH2CH3, we obtained example Dy11 epitaxial assembly ions hourglass-shaped Dy9 core, formula [Dy11(HL2)8(μ3–OH)8(μ4-O)2(CH3O)4(NO3)4](NO3)5 18CH3OH. was bombarded high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESI-MS) peaks various fragments captured. Based peaks, possible fragmentation mechanisms inferred be → Dy4(HL2)4 Dy3(HL2)2 Dy2(HL2)2 Dy(HL2)2 Dy(HL2)2/Dy2(HL2)2/Dy3(HL2)2/Dy4(HL2)4. This work one rare examples where leads formation dimensions, which promotes progress crystal engineering complexes.
