Background Given the absence of specific pharmacological treatments for sarcopenia, identifying effective lifestyle and dietary interventions is imperative. This study aims to explore association between composite antioxidant index (CDAI) offering new insights into nutritional strategies sarcopenia-prone populations. Methods cross-sectional analysed secondary data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey cycles spanning 2001–2006 2011–2018. Weighted multivariate logistic regression restricted cubic spline (RCS) analyses were employed evaluate non-linear CDAI sarcopenia perform stratified analyses. Results In this study, encompassing 19 683 American adults, representative national population 132 140 502 residents, 7.97% diagnosed with sarcopenia. Across all adjusted models, a higher was inversely associated risk (OR 0.94, 95% CI 0.92, 0.96; P <0.0001). The highest quartile scores those in lowest revealed significantly reduced odds 0.46, 0.38, 0.56; RCS analysis demonstrated relationship Additionally, indicated that inverse more pronounced among participants educational levels tumours. Conclusions There negative prevalence suggesting may help managing preventing occurrence

Background It remains unknown whether composite-dietary-antioxidant-index (CDAI) is associated with the risk of sarcopenia. This study investigated association CDAI sarcopenia among general US adults. Methods A total 10,093 participants were enrolled in National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) from 6 survey cycles (2003-2004, 2005-2006, 2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016 2017-2018). Multivariate logistic regression was carried out to examine relationship between Restricted cubic spline (RCS) curves employed analyze nonlinear relationships. Results In a multi-variable model adjusting for demographics, lifestyle, economic status other dietary factors, higher score related lower Compared highest quartile lowest, OR 95%CI 0.49 (0.31-0.75). Furthermore, RCS demonstrated linear dose-response ( P non-linearity =0.92). These results remained consistent across subgroups stratified by age, sex, physical activity, drinking status, body mass index (BMI), smoking habits, energy intake, Healthy Eating Index (HEI) score. addition, favorable associations primarily attributed Vitamin E intake. Conclusion According these results, greater adherence may benefit prevention
