Abstract Background Waste disposal practice is associated with several factors and health outcomes among undergraduates. As part of the targets Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), waste remains central to its realization by year 2030. In addition, university being one promotion settings a viable place for positive behavioural change students if properly explored. Therefore, this study explores knowledge, attitude, predictive Fountain University Students. Methods This was descriptive cross-sectional using pretested semi-structured self-administered questionnaire. Data collected were analysed SPSS version 30. Both inferential statistics (stepwise approach linear regression) conducted data presented in tables charts. Results The mean age respondents 20.66 ± 1.51, majority (36.8%) from College Natural Sciences, Department Biochemistry (23.1%), 200 level (40.9%). Papers/cardboard (21.4%) constituted most generated. had good knowledge (71%); attitudinal disposition (89%) towards disposal; (84.3%). Only gender factor both respondents’ (F = 4.539, P 0.034) attitude 5.113, 0.024); while types generated predicted 5.482, 0.020). Conclusion To sustain practices, well-labelled bins should be placed strategically on campus encourage sorting creation SDGs club students.
