Abstract The release of antibiotics merging with waterways can create health problems on the organic life. Hence, objective this study is to convert sugarcane bagasse into activated carbon (SBAC) sequester amoxicillin (AMOX) from liquid medium. production SBAC was performed amid chemical stimulation adopting potassium hydroxide (KOH). resulted posed Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area and mesopores 713.45 m 2 /g 503.85 /g, respectively, alongside mean pore size 2.33 nm. In equilibrium study, adsorption uptakes AMOX by elevated 2.40 8.67 mg/g when saturation solution rose 5 30 mg/g. isotherm analysis indicated that AMOX-SBAC system aligned most accurately Langmuir equation, demonstrating an optimum capacity, Q 13.55 Kinetic exploration divulged pseudo-first order (PFO) corresponded accurate. Boyd plot verified rate adsorbed onto limited film diffusion.
