Background: The aim of the present study was to evaluate effectiveness and safety a nutraceutical combination given insulin-resistant overweight patients with altered lipid profiles. To this end, an observational designed in which 74 individuals (50 females 24 males) underwent period 3 months. Methods: During time, specific containing myo-inositol, glycine, Coprinus comatus, α-lipoic acid, phlorizin, zinc, vitamin B6, chromium picolinate administered. Patients were asked not modify their lifestyles so that no variable might interfere results introduced. Results: After 3-month period, obtained data revealed insulin levels significantly decreased respect baseline, while glucose exhibited trend towards lower concentrations, significant. In addition, HOMA-IR index, body weight, BMI, abdominal circumference values all significantly. Regarding profiles, before after showed statistically significant decreases concentrations total cholesterol, LDL triglyceride, as well small but concomitant increase HDL cholesterol. Conclusions: Thus, on basis these data, it may be stated used ameliorated number metabolic parameters without measurable side effects. efficacy product were, therefore, confirmed our group patients.
