Abstract
Youth
with
learning
differences
(e.g.,
specific
disorder
and
attention
deficit
hyperactivity
disorder)
encounter
exacerbated
psychological
behavioral
challenges
compared
to
typically
developing
peers.
Peer
mentoring
has
proven
beneficial
in
addressing
such
challenges,
yet
there
is
limited
research
on
the
efficacy
of
online
peer
mentorship
programs
for
this
population.
This
study
investigates
effects
an
program
mentees’
mental
health,
wellbeing,
behavior
across
10
outcomes:
anxiety,
depression,
fear,
cognitive
concerns,
executive
function,
sleep
difficulties,
self-care,
interpersonal
skills,
self-esteem/self-
confidence.
Parents
retrospectively
reported
their
child’s
prior
since
receiving
mentorship.
Results
indicated
significant
improvements
