Green corrosion inhibitors have recently attracted much attention due to their non-toxic properties, especially plant extracts. This study used spinach leaf extract (Spinacia oleracea) as a inhibitor on aluminum in an HCl medium. Spinach was obtained by maceration method, using ethanol the solvent, which then distilled purify extract. The inhibition properties were studied gravimetric method. results showed that can efficiently decrease rate of medium, achieving maximum efficiency 96.7742 %. formed protective layer surface via adsorption and chemisorption, thus increasing coverage blocking mass transfers. As concentration increases, decreases, increases. shows is viable organic option with high efficiency.

This study evaluated UV-radiated Helichrysum kraussii (H. kraussii) extract for its corrosion inhibition on aluminium in 1.0 M HCl. To achieve this, techniques such as Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Gravimetric analysis, electrochemical analysis looking at impedance (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), contact angle computational studies were used. The results obtained from these made it possible to conclude the performance of H. a inhibitor metal. LC-MS FTIR proved that exposure UV radiation caused change composition metabolites, demonstrated by increase number peaks chromatogram shift spectrum. Weight loss technique showed inhibited with maximum percentage 84.6948 % concentration 1500 ppm 30 °C. adsorption molecules metal surface was found obey Langmuir isotherm, activation energy values mechanism through physisorption. Nyquist plots semi-circles an concentration, showing efficiency. Tafel's plot both anodic cathodic inhibited. DFT/PBE/GGA/DNP investigation binding energies inhibitors suggest Al···FA interaction happens physical adsorption.
