A gold mine located in western China is facing the problem of a low concentrate grade, significantly hindering its economic benefits. Preliminary assessments indicate that this caused by gangue minerals are prone to floating and sliming, necessitating suppression flotation process. The effect fenugreek polysaccharide gum (FGM) upon separation arsenopyrite (representative Au-bearing minerals) pyrophyllite (a typical mineral) was investigated; industrial potential verified through actual ore pilot plant testing.
