Abstract The difficulty of obtaining samples from certain human tissues has led to efforts find accessible sources analyze molecular markers derived DNA. In this study, we look for DNA methylation patterns in blood and its association with the brain pattern neurodegenerative disorders. Using data databases, selected 18,293 CpGs presenting correlated levels between (bb-CpGs) compare their level patients diseases (Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s Multiple Sclerosis, X Fragile Syndrome) healthy controls. Sixty-four bb-CpGs presented significant distinct patients, being: nine Alzheimer’s 28 18 Syndrome. Similar differences was also observed when comparing tissue vs. genomic regions some these 64 are placed close or inside genes previously associated respective condition. Our findings support rationale using as a surrogate changes CpG diseases, opening possibility characterizing new biomarkers.
