The world is increasingly turning to renewable energy sources (RES) address climate change issues and achieve net-zero carbon emissions. Integrating RES into existing power grids necessary for sustainability because the unpredictability irregularity of can affect grid stability generate quality issues, leading equipment damage increasing operational costs. As a result, importance severely compromised. To tackle these challenges, traditional systems (TPS) will have become more innovative. Smart use advanced technology such as two-way communication between consumers service providers, automated control, real-time monitoring manage flow effectively. Inverters are effective tools solving problems in renewable-powered smart grids. However, their effectiveness depends on topology, control method design. This review paper focuses role multilevel inverters (MLIs) mitigating voltage sag, swell total harmonics distortion (THD). results shown here through simulation studies using DC but be extended RES-integrated comprehensive also examines drawbacks TPS understand necessity developing system. Finally, discusses future trends MLI technology, addressing environments.
