Most African football nations need to strengthen their talent development environments (TDEs) in sport order nurture young elite players at the level of global competitiveness. However, despite established importance environment striving and thriving athletes, studies on TDEs academies are scarce. This study's objectives were twofold: (a) test reliability French version TDEQ-5 across three representative French-speaking countries: Morocco (North Africa), Cameroon (Central Africa) Côte d'Ivoire (West (b) assess compare quality football. A sample from countries selected consisted 504 male academy footballers aged between 10 23, who completed TDEQ-5. Confirmatory factor analysis internal consistency revealed a fair model fit TDEQ-5, therefore allowing its use this context. TDEQ-5's social support network was omitted comparisons because low consistency. For remaining four features, Moroccan had most favourable perception, while Cameroonian Ivoirian shared similar less favorable perceptions TDEs. Across countries, long-term focus holistic preparation strength an area improvement respectively. These findings suggest that tends validate differences similarities North, Central, West countries. It thus emerges as reliable instrument monitor journey footballers.
