This research investigates the nonlinear vibration response of partially cracked, generally orthotropic, rectangular micro-plates featuring non-uniform thicknesses coupled with a fluid medium. The traditional classical plate theory (CPT) in conjunction modified couple stress (MCST) is used to derive governing equation orthotropic varying thickness. presence partial crack at plate’s center modeled using simplified line spring model (LSM), and in-plane forces bending moment resulting from are incorporated into equation. Furthermore, interaction medium considered, introduction virtual added mass via velocity potential function Bernoulli’s equations, considering both horizontal vertical immersion scenarios. study also explores thickness variations one two dimensions along X Y axes. methodology employs Galerkin’s approach convert equations time-dependent modal coordinates, Berger’s method introduces nonlinearity these coordinates. approximation solution, multiple scales, utilised solve equations. Various parameters considered analysis, including length, size effect, variations, fiber orientations, levels, depth. impact factors on behaviour submerged generally, under different boundary conditions, presenting novel findings. Additionally, an illustration provided visually depict bending-hardening bending-softening phenomenon concerning taper constant depth submergence.
