Extensive infrastructure development has led to the overexploitation of traditional virgin materials. To preserve ecosystem, it's crucial find alternatives. This study explores viability using turmeric bulb (TB) as a substitute for coarse aggregate in geopolymer concrete (GPC). With 36 trial mixes varying activator concentration and curing methods, aim is assess TB filler material replacement. Experimental trials revealed that replacing up 20% with maintained 28-day compressive strength at 35–38 MPa under ambient curing. However, oven curing, was sustained only 30% replacement, beyond which it declined. The UPV value 50% 3.79–3.9 km/s. Increasing from 8 M 16 significantly enhanced GPC strength, ranging between 24 MPa. blended showed higher rate water absorption, 24% 26% replacement conventional aggregate. Sustainability analysis lower concentrations (e.g., M) offered more sustainable alternative cement concrete. In conclusion, this underscores potential GPC, promoting eco-friendly production through practices optimized concentration.

In recent decades, plastic waste management has become one of the main environmental challenges for today's society. The excessive consumption so-called single-use plastics causes continuous damage to ecosystems, and it is necessary find alternatives recycle these products. this work, a mechanical hygrothermal characterisation novel plaster composites incorporating LDPE in their interior was carried out. Thus, prefabricated plasterboards have been designed with partial replacement original raw material recycled percentages 5-10-15% by volume. results show how new exceeded 0.18 kN minimum breaking load panels all cases, while decreases density thermal conductivity up 15% 21%, respectively, were obtained. addition, an increase 3.8%in resistance obtained gypsum boards lightweight façade walls through simulations. way, pathway explored recovery wastes subsequent application construction sector.

This study presents an exhaustive exploration into the development and rigorous evaluation of nano-TiO2-modified recycled aggregates (NT@RAs) as environmentally sustainable substitute for natural in concrete applications. A methodical framework was devised synthesis thorough characterization NT@RAs, emphasizing optimization nano-TiO2 loading onto RA surface within its intricate porous structure. The investigation encompassed three distinct types aggregates: glass sands (RGSs), clay brick (RCBSs), (RCSs). Of particular interest, NT@RGS, with properties inherently smooth texture low water absorption, found to exert a favorable influence on rheological behavior concrete, manifested reduced yield stress, thereby underscoring potential fine-tuning mix designs enhance workability. As substitution levels NT@RGS NT@RCBS escalated, initial decrement compressive strength discernible, which subsequently reversed restoration at optimized ratios. phenomenon is attributed synergistic interplay among NT@RA components. Remarkably, NT@RA-incorporated demonstrated unparalleled self-cleaning abilities, surpassing performance direct powder incorporation. comprehensive research contributes significantly advancement sustainable, high-performance photocatalytic construction materials realm technology. It underscores enhancing not only mechanical but also environmental responsiveness through innovative utilization NT@RAs.
