In the present work, development of geopolymeric materials with Na or K based on industrial kaolin samples, variable kaolinite content and alkaline silicates, is studied. XRF, XRD, FTIR SEM-EDS have been used as characterization techniques. Three ceramic two from Algeria one Charente (France), considered. particular, chemical mineralogical revealed elements distinct Si Al, pure secondary minerals. Metakaolinite was obtained by grinding sieving raw at 80 μm then thermal activation 750 °C for 1 h. This metakaolinite has a base material to obtain geopolymers, using this purpose different formulations silicates NaOH KOH Si/K molar ratios. The formation hydroxylation polycondensation characterized Si/Al ratios, depending original content, demonstrated. Sodium carbonates detected XRD FTIR, confirmed SEM-EDS, in these geopolymer being products carbonation.

To address the limitations in determining amount of activator and optimizing mix proportion during preparation bauxite tailings (BX)-based alkali-activated materials (AAMs), as well insufficient research on interactions multiple factors, this study aims to synthesize optimize composite cementitious with BX granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) precursors via response surface methodology central design (RSM-CCD). The optimal alkali content for alkali-activated, tailing, powder were investigated. A series tests, including XRD, FTIR, TG-DSC, SEM-EDS, used analysis further investigate effects dosage mechanical properties influence hydration products microstructure. results show that composition tailings-based material is 35% content, 4% a water glass modulus 1.3, water-solid ratio 0.32. relationship model between parameters compressive strength fits well, determination coefficients 0.9803 f3c 0.9789 f28c. identified mainly C-S-H C-(N)-A-S-H gels form SiQ3 SiQ4 tetrahedra. SEM-EDS incorporation changes silicon-aluminum system, promoting an increase increasing complexity density structure. GGBFS also has micro-aggregate filling effect nucleation effect, which improve distribution products. This demonstrates significant potential materials, contributes sustainable development construction industry.
