This study investigates the skid resistance performance of asphalt mixtures containing composite aggregates basalt and limestone. The research aimed to predict service life identify optimal content for enhanced performance. Using an accelerated friction tester, indices such as British pendulum number (BPN), mean texture depth (MTD), dynamic coefficient (Dµ) were measured. conducted wear tests on with varying contents under different water flow rates loads. Results indicate that anti-skid decreased increasing flow, load, cycles, initially showing a sharp decline followed by gradual stabilization. Orthogonal experiments determined had most significant impact resistance, load rate. By converting MTD values into IFI values, four-area diagram was created illustrate deterioration. also demonstrated higher significantly enhances mixtures. Cost analysis based prediction showed 40% mixture is cost effective while maintaining excellent resistance. A test section further validated ensures good indoor predictions aligning closely field data. Although has been operational only two years, ongoing monitoring will provide insights long-term
