Abstract
This
study
deals
with
the
development
of
an
environmentally
sustainable
Self-compacting
recycled
aggregate
concrete
(SCRAC)
incorporating
crumb
rubber
(CR),
fly
ash
(FA)
and
silica
fume
(SF).
The
gains
significance
due
to
increased
popularity
environmental-friendly
building
materials.
M50
grade
self
compacting
(SCC)
was
designed
as
per
EFNARC
2005
specifications
influence
(CRA)
(as
coarse
replacement),
CR
fine
FA
&
SF
supplementary
cementitious
materials)
on
workability,
strength,
durability
characteristics
SCC.
Slump
flow,
T
500
,
L-box,
V-funnel,
U-Box
tests
were
used
evaluate
workability
in
accordance
standards
set
by
2005.
compressive,
flexural
strengths
measured
after
7
28
days
curing
strength
properties
Sorptivity
Water
absorption
understand
SCC
mixes.
Test
results
indicate
that
use
CRA
impair
SCC’s
while
SCMs
improved
workability.
It
can
be
noted
all
mixes
fulfilled
criteria
for
fresh
properties.
A
decrease
seen
when
NA
replaced
CR.
28-day
compressive
reduced
about
21.78%
19.51%,
respectively,
100%
instead
NCA
10%
NFA.
To
over
come
this
loss
could
effectively
it
based
study,
RA100CR10F20S10
combination
had
similar
those
CM.
Similar
trend
observed
well.
Therefore,
concluded
CR,
has
a
positive
impact
SCRAC
alternative.
