Basalt fiber cement-based composite materials represent a novel category of building that have garnered significant attention in recent years, finding extensive application water conservancy projects and infrastructure construction. This review examines the development status basalt both domestically internationally, as well advancements its mechanical properties durability. The findings indicate incorporating an optimal amount can lead to maximum increase compressive strength splitting tensile approximately 7%. Furthermore, 7-day achieve 55% 64% 28-day strength. addition not only enhances strength, impact resistance, durability but also reduces cracking sensitivity concrete, thereby extending service life structures. These characteristics render composites particularly advantageous extreme environments, such bridges, tunnels, high-rise buildings, ocean engineering. Future research directions should prioritize investigating reaction mechanisms technological associated with concrete.
