This paper investigates the automation of an African wooden pestle. device is used in kitchen to cook traditional meals. Because pounding food painful for human arm and blenders cause a lack consistency final product, we study this by proposing two solutions. The first solution closed-loop electro-hydraulic linear actuation. second electro-pneumatic These actuators are chosen because they generate translational force. A particular reference signal proposed mimic process. numerical simulations executed Matlab/ Simulink/ Simscape environment reveal that hydraulic actuation provides best results, particularly products with medium-high mechanical resistance. Future works will present results obtained experimental prototypes.

Pneumatic servo systems face challenges such as friction, compressibility, and nonlinear dynamics, necessitating advanced control techniques. Research suggests model-based, model-free, hybrid, optimization-based methods have their strengths. Therefore, this study presents an optimal strategy using Adaptive Domain Prescribed Performance Control (AD-PPC) cascaded with PID optimized the Evolutionary Mating Algorithm (EMA) for a pneumatic system (PSS). The goal is to achieve faster transient stable rod-piston positioning minimal friction through hysteresis phenomenon of targeted proportional valve-controlled double-acting cylinder (PPVDC) representing PSS. novel EMA optimizes controller based on tracking error its objective function. Simulation studies verify proposed AD-PPC-PID PPVDC model plant, iteratively by EMA. analytical compares setup's optimization same alternative methods. testing employs step multi-step signals PPVDC's position input. Results show that EMA-tuned outperforms other optimizers. For both input trajectory tests, shows response times, average improvements 30% in settling times 70% performance metrics compared optimizers, making it robust applications like positioning.

In order to reduce the effect of nonlinear friction and time-varying factors on servo system a computer numerical control (CNC) machine tool improve its motion accuracy, this paper uses an adaptive sliding mode (ASMC) method based model reference (MRAC). The adopts ASMC in outer loop obtains optimal parameters by making (SMC) law continuous adaptively estimating parameters. At same time, MRAC is used inner enhance “invariance” controlled object so that switching gain SMC can satisfy disturbance matching condition even under lesser conditions. Simulation experimental results show compared with traditional SMC, proposed effectively reduces influence performance, reduction following error reaches 71.2%, which significantly improves accuracy system. spectral analysis errors shows maximum magnitude rate high-frequency chattering 89.02%, stability performance
