Despite the fact that rhamnolipids are among most studied biosurfactants, there still several gaps which must be filled. The aim of this review is to emphasize and indicate issues should taken into account in order achieve efficient rhamnolipids-assisted biodegradation or phytoextraction soils contaminated by heavy metals petroleum hydrocarbons without harmful side effects. Four main topics have been elucidated review: effective concentration soil, their potential phytotoxicity, susceptibility interaction with soil microorganisms. discussed elements often closely associated overlap, thus making interpretation research results all more challenging. Each dedicated section includes a description questions, an explanation background rationale for each problem, analysis relevant literature reports short summary possible application guidelines. conclusion necessity establish regulations regarding concentrations remediation soil. use improper direct cause other phenomena.

Abstract The global economic burden of microbial corrosion metals is enormous. Microbial iron‐containing most extensive under anaerobic conditions. Microbes form biofilms on metal surfaces and can directly extract electrons derived from the oxidation Fe 0 to 2+ support respiration. H 2 generated abiotic also serves as an electron donor for respiratory microbes. metabolites accelerate this oxidation. Traditional strategies curbing include cathodic protection, scrapping, a diversity biocides, alloys that protective layers or release toxic ions, polymer coatings. However, these approaches are typically expensive and/or limited applicability not environmentally friendly. Biotechnology may provide more effective sustainable solutions. Biocides produced with microbes be less eukaryotes, expanding environments potential application. Microbially surfactants diminish biofilm formation by corrosive microbes, quorum‐sensing inhibitors. Amendments phages predatory bacteria have been successful in attacking laboratory studies. Poorly deposit extracellular polysaccharides minerals protect surface their metabolites. Nitrate amendments permit nitrate reducers outcompete highly sulphate‐reducing reducing corrosion. Investigation all mitigation its infancy. More study, especially relevant conditions, including diverse communities, warranted.

Metal materials are vulnerable to corrosion in the process of production and service, which often leads serious disasters, including decline performance metal components shortened service life, even causes catastrophic accidents ecological damage. Adding a certain amount inhibitors (CIs) corrosive medium is simple, efficient, economical anti-corrosion method slow down restrain materials. Organic (OCIs) considered have good application prospects widely used for surface materials, as they generally advantages such adsorption, low oxidation resistance, thermal chemical stability, green environmental protection. This paper systematically summarized some major OCIs, alkyl chains, imidazoles, pyridines, their structural characteristics, well action mechanism OCIs. Moreover, this discusses natural compounds environmentally friendly CIs provides prospect development trend

Corrosion inhibitor additives are considered to be one of the effective methods slow down corrosion metals, but inhibitors will decompose and lose their effect in a long-term corrosive environment. In this work, smart carrier 2-mercaptobenzimidazole-Zn2+-polydopamine@graphite (MZPG) with excellent pH response was designed synthesized using one-pot method. This not only has very high 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (MBI) loading capacity (38.0%) also maintains low MBI activity inhibit decomposition MZPG environment as much possible. The MZPG/epoxy (MZPG/EP) coatings prepared by spraying method showed mechanical properties. Electrochemical salt spray tests that MZPG/EP (1.20 × 1010 Ω·cm2) have resistance Rp values up 3 orders magnitude higher than EP coating (1.25 107 Ω·cm2). Notably, maintained good under acidic conditions due pH-responsive release inhibitors. is great significance for future development highly environments.
