Presently, there is high demand for less toxic and effective corrosion inhibitors the acidizing process owing to toxicity of existing inhibitors. Therefore, objective this study explore feasibility Persea Americana seed extracts (PASE) as sustainable mitigate corrosive effect 1 M HCl on API 5 L X65 pipeline steel using weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization techniques. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was utilized establish inhibitor's functional group. The result obtained shows that inhibition efficiency increased with concentration, best inhibitor 95.65% g PASE in solution. electrochemical tests revealed behaves a mixed-type inhibitor. adsorption followed Langmuir isotherm. Results from FTIR confirm contain hydroxyl group compound, flavonoid, phenolic content which can be SEM analysis notable difference surface protective barrier formed metal surface. In formulation inhibitors, promising active compound. data loss test agreement demonstrates excellent inhibitive behavior acid solutions. This research provides insight into development steel.
