Porous media combustion greatly improves the of low calorific value gas (LCG), and appropriate heat control contributes to optimizing flame evolution. To obtain dynamic characteristics lean‐rich combustion, an enhanced heat‐recirculating burner is built by embedding cylindrical rod with high thermal conductivity. The temperature distribution products are investigated under different parameters operating conditions. results indicate that reduction equivalence ratio inlet velocity both beneficial for upstream propagation rich‐methane flame, which has opposite trend lean combustion. Regardless direction in propagates, propagates fastest as diameter 8 mm. When 8–120 embedded burner, downstream time shortened 73.40%. embedment rods porous not only accelerates but also promotes conversion methane syngas. Moreover, decrease pellet conducive increasing syngas production. above conclusions provide theoretical support efficient clean utilization LCG media.
