Enabling technologies (KETs) offer transformative potential for agriculture by addressing major challenges such as climate change, resource efficiency, and sustainable development across economic, social, environmental dimensions. However, KET adoption is often limited high R&D requirements, rapid innovation cycles, investment costs, cultural or training barriers, especially among small agricultural businesses. Sicily’s sector, already strained pandemic-related economic setbacks inflationary pressures, faces additional barriers in adopting these technologies. To investigate develop viable solutions, the ARIA Living Lab (Agritech Research Innovation Environment) was established within PNRR framework. A qualitative approach used, involving documentary analysis data from stakeholders Sicilian agriculture. This enabled an in-depth exploration of sector-specific needs, infrastructure, socio-economic factors influencing adoption. The highlighted that differ significantly sectors (citrus, olive, wine), with public incentives digital infrastructure playing key roles. a persistent lack technical skills farmers reduces effectiveness innovations. findings suggest integrated approach—combining targeted incentives, training, enhanced infrastructure—is essential transition to KETs. Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di Kota Bogor telah menyebabkan terjadinya alih fungsi lahan. Praktik pertanian perkotaan dapat menjadi solusi keberlanjutan lingkungan dan pemenuhan pangan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi upaya penerapan, manfaat, kendala, serta berdasarkan persepsi kelompok tani. dilakukan melalui survei, wawancara, kuesioner pada sampel 40 tani yang dipilih metode purposive sampling. Analisis data secara deskriptif nilai indeks skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan umumnya luas lahan terbatas dengan komoditas utama berupa sayuran. Persepsi dinilai baik (nilai 0,80), kendala tergolong sedang (indeks 0,53). Manfaat sangat dirasakan oleh 0,84, terutama dalam aspek sosial yaitu sebagai sarana edukasi peningkatan interaksi sosial. Keberlanjutan 0,76). Konsep dasar pengembangan diarahkan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan terbuka disekitar masyarakat berkelanjutan mendukung ketahanan ekonomi rumah tangga memperhatikan regulasi kebijakan, lingkungan, sosial, ekonomi, teknologi.

The adoption of smart farming has altered food production by increasing efficiency, sustainability, and productivity. However, there is a digital divide, with affluent countries such as the United States benefiting from advanced agricultural technologies, nevertheless, many African face limited access to tools, inadequate infrastructure, financial restraints. This disparity implications for security, economic development, global prompting an in-depth examination factors impacting in different regions. review examines benefits impact on productivity, well identifies potential cross-regional knowledge sharing across Africa. findings indicate that technologies have considerably increased productivity sustainability States, due strong government initiatives, public-private collaborations, widespread infrastructure. In contrast, farmers confront broadband connection, constraints, insufficient institutional support, which restricts precision agriculture data-driven farming.
